ENSINGER's planning application for the new building has been submitted to the local authorities and has now received planning permission. Construction will commence August 2010 and completion is due end of December 2010. We are also pleased to have awarded the contract to Vinci Construction (Stradform) and look forward to continuing our relationship with them.
The planned warehouse extension is going to be 15000 sq ft with an open-side design. The building will be used to improve the loading, storage and preparation of stillages for the window profiles business and also for the storage of stock shapes.
The project sum of £ .77m incorporates racking and new articulated forklift trucks complete with a side lifting option; reducing the amount of isle space required to manoeuvre the products.
Although the building is an open-sided design, if at a later date it was decided that the extension would be used for an alternative purpose, the open side could be easily sealed, or incorporated into the current warehouse. The design of the building also includes an easy access loading facility which is accessible via its own access road.
This new building signifies ENSINGER's continuing growth, also its strengthening market position and re-confirms the companies commitment to making Tonyrefail the main base for their long term future plans.
