ENSINGER Stock Shapes Division
ENSINGER manufactures semi-finished stock shapes using a variety of production processes including extrusion, casting, compression moulding and sintering. The close link between the finished product and the production method makes a major contribution to the development of cost effective, state of the art solutions. ENSINGER is continuously investing in production technology and in the training of its employees. We are therefore able to unite a varied range of production methods with the latest engineering processes under one
umbrella.
Extrusion
Semi-finished products and also profiles are manufactured by extrusion, a process for the production of continuous plastic forms. ENSINGER extrudes all common thermoplastics as basic unfilled versions and as modified versions with special properties.
Casting
ENSINGER uses the casting process to produce semi-finished products in polyamide 6, a nylon produced by the activated anionic polymerisation of caprolactam.
Compression Moulding
Compression moulded semi-finished products made from selected high performance thermoplastics offer the most cost effective solution for small production batches and special compounds.
Sintering (Direct Forming)
ENSINGER offers direct forming as an attractive alternative for medium and long production runs with non-thermoplastically processable polyimides.
